Make Poverty History! G8 Hearing AIDS?
Please circulate this press release on behalf of HIV Scotland as wide as possible and as soon as you can. Fife Men Project support the sentiments expressed in the press release and are happy to speak in favour.
Unison is meeting at assembly point "I" at 12:00 ready to march off at 13:00
Unison needs volunteers to help steward the march - check the website for more information. May I remind Unison members that last weeks conference voted in favour of the lesbian and gay self organised group becoming inclusive of bisexual and transgender workers! LGBT stronger together!
The Equality Network assembly point is at the Elephant & Bagels 37 Marshall Street off Nicholson Square gathering at 10:00 and there is an incentive to attend with a promise of a bagel - but is you all come along be good and buy your own (they need their funds) - if the E & B gets too full the EN folk with gather on the grass (not wet we hope) in Nicholson Square - moving to the Meadows at 10:40 for assembly at the Meadows at 11:00
The Fife Men Project will be taking a selection of Rainbow Flags and Wola Nani badges and as we only have 71badges left we should sell out! Remember every penny raised does go to Wola Nani. It is expected we will have supporters in both groups
Have a great day and help "make poverty history" you know they can and we will let them hear that they should!
If you are not attending the march please circulate this information and in so doing you will be supporting those of us who will be there!

The Fife Men Project together with their colleagues from the GUM Service, launch a campaign for World AIDS day “Spread the Word not the Infection” aimed to inform people of the personal risks associated with sexually transmitted infections.
The World AIDS Day 2004 (December 1st) global theme is focused upon woman and children, with the United Kingdom theme that HIV is an issue for everyone and everyone can do something to make a difference.
While known HIV infections continue to grow, the Fife Men Project together with health services at the GUM, launch "Spread the Word Not Disease" campaign, to engage with individuals and high risk groups throughout Fife. Outreach work will offer clinic check-ups based at the project for those reluctant to attend the hospital.
The information campaign together with publicity events throughout the year, not only on World AIDS Day, will be supported by donations from the "Red Ribbon Appeal".
Of course Fife Men Project offers services to gay men, bisexual men and men who have sex with other men, their partners, family and friends, throughout the year!
